Media  Permit

What is a Media Permit?

  • A Media Permit can be applied for, and is issued at the discretion of the NWAC Board of Directors.

  • It applies to projects taking place across the entire Nyangumarta Determination area (exclusive possession and non-exclusive possession areas).

Is there an Application Fee?

  • If your Application is successful, you will be required to pay an Application Fee of $100, prior to the Media Permit being issued.

Who needs a Media Permit?

  • Journalists or news organisations producing news of the day or current affairs

  • Individuals, groups and organisations (including professional photographers/filmmakers) wishing to access and use existing images and/or footage (including drone footage) of Nyangumarta people or country for commercial purposes

  • Individuals, groups and organisations (including professional photographers/filmmakers) wishing to take or record new images and/or footage (including drone footage) of Nyangumarta people or country for commercial purposes

  • Businesses or organisations wanting to promote their business or organisation through a visit to Nyangumarta country

  • Not-for-profit organisations or individuals promoting a charity event or fundraiser through a visit to Nyangumarta country
